The University of Illinois campus has many resources to support students through their studies, foster their professional growth, and prepare them for their future endeavors. Below is a snapshot of some of campus units who are here to help you!

The University Library

Not only is the University of Illinois library one of the largest in the country, but it also offers a number of resources to help students with research, data collection, technology support, and writing.

Research Data Services: Helps students learn to organize and collect research data.

Savvy Researcher: Offers workshops related to research and academic success.

Scholarly Commons: A space for students to pursue research and receive expert consultation services in topics such as copyright, data, digital humanities, digitization, and scholarly communications. Includes loanable technology and a space to create, disseminate, use and curate digital media.

Building Skills

Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning: Hosts workshops for teaching assistants and offers certificate programs for students to improve their teaching skills.

Illinois Leadership Center: Provides leadership education and training to help students develop skills to become effective leaders.

The Technology Entrepreneur Center: Offers courses, venture and product competitions, workshops and other curricular and extra-curricular events that expose students to the concepts of technology innovation and market adoption.

Writers Workshop: Offers free writing assistants to students include one-on-one appointments, workshops, and writing groups.

Exploring Careers

Research Park: A technology hub for research and development operations and startup companies. Check their website for networking opportunities and internship or job postings.

Career Centers: The University of Illinois has a broad network of career centers to help students explore their interests and prepare their materials. Many of these centers provide one-on-one counselling, workshops, and support groups.
