Two Disability Advocate positions are available for the upcoming academic year. These graduate student positions require dependability, autonomy, and the ability to work with a wide range of people. The Disability Advocates are under the direct supervision of BRSS's Associate Director.
To assist Beckwith Residential Support Services and University Housing staff in administering, educating and maintaining transitional disability management and personal assistant services for residents with significant physical disabilities living on the first floor of Nugent Hall:
•Creating and fostering a community environment;
•Being a resource person for student residents;
•Assisting in their learning, growth, and development;
•Providing supervision of Beckwith Personal Assistant/Floater staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Acceptance into graduate school at time of application. Graduate student in rehabilitation, social work, or related field, and experience in organized group living, including residence halls, fraternities, sororities, or related is preferred. Must be able to perform the duties of a Personal Assistant. This is a LIVE-IN POSITION.

Room and board, and a monthly stipend. Beckwith will seek an in-state tuition and fee waiver from candidates academic program of study.
