Description:
This position is designed to assist the Health Education Unit in the overall operation of the Health Resource Center (HRC).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Health Education in supervising services of the Health Resource Center at the Illini Union and satellite sites.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising student workers at the HRC.
- Coordinate workers rotation, and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Work with campus units, local health/social agencies to plan, implement and evaluate campus-wide events, including Annual Health Fair, Alcohol Awareness Week and Worlds AID Day Observation.
- Assist the Director of Health Education in enhancing/retaining relationships with key campus/local stake holders, including OMSA, OIIR, Dean of Students Office and Campus RSO groups
- Assist with special duties including illness prevention planning, implemention, and evaluation
Qualifications:
We are specifically interested in students who have a background in Social Sciences or Health-related fields.
Graduate students enrolled in the Department of Community Health, Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Kinesiology, EPS, College of Education, Life Sciences and School of Social Work may be eligible for tuition and fee waiver plus stipend.
