Description of Research

First row transition metals are more abundant and generally more biological compatible than their second and third row counterparts. They have been shown to engage in similar reactivity to produce desired products. My research focuses on the synthesis of such complexes to catalyze processes such as hydrogenation of various compounds. I am also looking into their application in the polarization of these compounds to be applied to improve Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
