Description of Research
Water and food are critical resources, both requiring significant infrastructure networks. Details of how these networks operate, and particularly of how shocks disseminate throughout these networks, is poorly understood. My research aims to improve understanding of the water and food systems to more equitably distribute these critical resources. This includes understanding both supply and distribution systems, including international trade and its impact. I am further interested in identifying failure points and mitigating their disruptions to increase global food and water security.
