Description of Research
Shifting towards renewable sources of energy has never been more important, but some of the challenges to overcome are the daily fluctuation in renewable energy generation and consumer demand. Aqueous flow batteries incorporating redox active polymer is a potential solutions due to its improvements in safety, modularity, and cost.
My research focuses on fundamentally understanding how charge transfer occurs in redox active polymers. This knowledge will help us fine tune these polymers for an optimized flow battery system.
