Description of Research
Quantum computing has been identified by many as the next step in technological evolution in terms of computing power, processing speed, and memory storage. Quantum simulation is an early-stage precursor to quantum computing in which highly-controllable experimental platforms are designed as models for complex quantum systems like qubit cluster-states, the basis for quantum computation. My research focuses on using laser locking, cooling, and trapping techniques to create arrays of ultra-cold molecules that behave as qubit cluster-states. The goal of my research is to develop a novel basis for experimental approaches to quantum computing.
