Description of Research
Effective management of thermal storage coupled with electric storage and smart operation can drastically increase grid efficiency and resilience. There is a need to understand how thermal storage, batteries, and building cooling can be operated in a way where there is both a level of autonomy and connectives.
My research focuses on to creating models that couples this systems effective, and applying a hierarchical control framework that improves system performance given desired metrics.
