Description of Research

Edwin is a third-year Ph.D. student in Chemistry with a concentration in Physical Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on developing computational methods for understanding superconductivity. He is also an Alfred P. Sloan 2017-18 Scholar. Edwin received a Bachelor of Science in Math and Chemistry, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey. He has been an avid mentor for students from underrepresented minorities through his work in STEM outreach programs such as NIH-RISE at the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey. Edwin hopes to keep supporting and guiding students of all backgrounds towards STEM careers and their own outreach endeavors.
