Description of Research
The next generation of optical fiber will be defined by a greater understanding of the materials used to fabricate and manipulate the various parameters for telecom fibers, optical amplifiers, and lasers.
I am interested in understanding how these parameters are accurately determined, experimentally. Furthermore, I am interested in novel fiber dopants across a wide range of concentrations, for various applications.
